Shah Cement Industries Limited (SCIL) is a unit of Abul Khair Group, one of the leading conglomerates of Bangladesh. SCIL is the largest and entirely locally owned cement producing plant in Bangladesh located at Muktarpur, Munshiganj District, and to meet the rising demands of its expanding market, this plant will be expanded through the inclusion of Vertical Roller Mill (VRM) technology instead of the regular Ball-mill technology. In order to do this, SCIL has sought funding from EKF Denmark and HSBC Hong Kong.
